Pandemic Relief: Iris Gives Back

Iris Software has joined the effort to alleviate the pains that families are facing in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Across our operations in the U.S., Canada and India, we have raised over $101,000 to help grassroots charities that provide food and medical aid, online schooling and support for the homeless.

Many Irisians had expressed a desire to contribute to the relief efforts. In response, we appealed to all Irisians to donate one day’s pay or any other amount into a common fund pool; the company made a matching contribution. The total collection was then distributed among multiple organizations engaged in fighting the COVID-19 challenge.

Beneficiaries of those donations included food banks and first responders, and students whose education was disrupted by the pandemic. Support has also gone to organizations that leverage their size and infrastructure to help the needy, such as United Way chapters, and a Johnson & Johnson campaign to support the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

In another initiative, the company provided lunch to more than 75 medical staff on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic in Tampa, Fla.

Iris has so far contributed to over 50 charity organizations in North America and India.
