Iris hires a senior leader to strengthen its Financial Services business
Sameer Maroor plans to add momentum to the Iris growth engine with value-added initiatives on the back of domain experience and technology innovation.
Sameer Maroor has joined Iris to head Financial Services Sales for the company. An IIM, Ahmedabad alumni, he has over 20 years of experience in the IT services industry. Prior to joining Iris, he has had a very successful career at Hexaware Technologies building up the Banking and Financial Services (BFS) business. Sameer has extensive experience in the financial services domain, leading sales, Client engagement and management, go-to-market strategies, alliances & analyst and advisor relationships.
What are you most excited about Iris'?
I've had the pleasure of interacting with key management personnel and some exciting individuals. I see the passion, the dedication and teamwork and am keen to be part of that at Iris.
Iris stands on a strong foundation - deep client relationships built with laser-sharp focus on speed and quality of execution in select areas of competence. We now seek to expand our footprint with our customer base by leveraging the cross-sell opportunities that are available, on the back of deep domain and technology experience built over the years.
So, how do you intend to build on these strengths?
As we head to our next phase of growth, I am looking for Iris to drive a high degree of value-based initiatives on the back of technology innovation and domain expertise and make the client experience with us, "industrial". Iris has deep strengths in

- Risk, AML and Compliance.
Iris has crafted solutions in these domains, leveraging its strength in technology innovation areas such as data sciences, automation and cloud, addressing immediate needs of our Clients, thus enabling us to cross-sell as well as on-board new Clients. We are fortifying our areas of focus by making additional investments in crafting solutions that solve business problems.
We are expanding our capabilities in "cloud" so that we can help our Clients either move their applications to cloud or build cloud ready/native applications and adopt a cloud strategy at-scale. Iris has built solutions that enable Clients to build a vendor-agnostic cloud big-data strategy, namely, a data-ingestion layer and a ML based data-catalog solution.
I believe the strategy we have adopted will help us double our size from 2000 associates presently to 4000+ associates globally in 3-4 years timeframe.
This is the IRIS 2.0 that we are collectively aiming to build!
